hi,
i am a non-traditional student in the sense that i have a B.A. from another country several years ago.and have had some college level work in the U.S.also.
I am an R.N and a CNM (Certified Nurse-Midwife)with many years of experience. I want to become a doctor now. can you guide me on the quickest route to do that?

I do not believe there is a "quick" way for you to become a doctor. You still need to go to medical school as everyone else. Unless you're from Canada, American medical schools in general require that you have a Bachelor's from a US college/university. Even though you already have a bachelor's from another country, I think they will want you to do a post-Bacc program in the US. This basically means that you'll have to take premed classes (chemistry, biology, physics, organic chemistry and English). I think you will also need to take TOEFL, but I'm not sure. I do not know what kind of US-based college-level work you have but if it involves premed classes you may not need to do post-bacc.
You should call a few schools and ask them whether your US-based college classes will suffice for admissions or whether you will need to do a post-bacc program.
