At the time of creation of this site, year 2000, I was a 2nd year medical student at SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY.

I have "done my time" as premed at Brandeis University.

At Brandeis, I majored in Economics & Biology. Quite coincidentally, I love both.

If you want to learn some good Economics, here is a free online version of an Economics textbook by David Friedman. He is very good. I read some of his text and I think he is one of the best people when it comes to explaining Economics.

One of the best sites to find curent economic research on the web is www.ssrn.com (Social Sciences Research Network). Check out the paper called "The Nature of Man." This is one of my favorite papers in Economics.

For a good read in Biology, check out Biomednet.com. I think biomednet.com is a cult classic among those interested in anything BioMedical. It has hard-nosed science news and discussions, fiction and even poetry. Don't forget to check out their online mag HMS Beagle. It's awesome.
